Created with a mix of mediums, the canvas for this piece is delicately ruffle-edged, hand-made paper.  Lupines!  Growing up, I had a beautifully illustrated book called The Lupine Lady, about a girl who travelled all over the world planting lupines, spreading beauty wherever she went.  I always loved the story, but it also gave me a love and nostalgia for lupines.
