Created with a mix of mediums, the canvas for this piece is hand-dyed, delicately ruffle-edged paper.  You have to look closely to see the story that's subtly woven into the painting, taken from Luke 15:1-7, the story Jesus tells of the shepherd who leaves his 99 sheep to go after the one who has wandered off.  The lost, loan sheep in the painting has only wandered as far as the postcard-size paper allows, but the meaning is still there!
