Created with a mix of mediums, the canvas for this piece is delicately ruffle-edged, hand-made paper.  This painting is inspired by Matthew 6, where Jesus says, "look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"  Instead of putting the actual words on the painting, I wanted the birds and flowers to speak for themselves, showing the unhurried, restful, and confident life we find when we abide in Christ.  Lots of layers on this one!
